Do I need a referral to see a surgical dentist?

New patients are always welcome at Chugach Dental with no referral needed. We’ll assess your mouth and health, and create a treatment plan just for you.

Is an extraction better than a root canal?

In the case of a bad toothache caused by decay or disease, we try to save your natural tooth whenever possible. This does mean that in some cases, a root canal may be our first recommendation.

Do all teens need their wisdom teeth out?

Not every teenager needs their wisdom teeth removed. We’ll use x-rays and high-tech images to assess their wisdom teeth and decide if extraction is needed.

I’m nervous about my upcoming oral surgery. Can you help?

Yes! We take great pride in making every treatment as comfortable as possible. At Chugach Dental, we offer nitrous oxide and prescription medication to reduce anxiety.

Payment and Insurance

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, United Concordia, MetLife, and more. We’ll file paperwork, explain what’s covered, and help you maximize your insurance benefits.
