Chugach Dental is staying on top of modern dental technology to bring you the best care possible.
We invested in a new digital intraoral scanner displays a 3-D rendering of a patient's teeth on a screen immediately after the scan is complete, providing a more impactful dental experience and a better understanding of the condition of their teeth and the recommended treatment plan.
The scanner is more comfortable than traditional approaches. It's quicker, convenient, and creates more accurate scans to get more precise impressions.

How do dentures work?
The biggest difference between dentures and other tooth replacement options is that they are removable. They aren’t permanently fixed in place like a dental implant would be. Because of this, they present a tradeoff:
- Easier to place without long healing times
- May require more frequent adjustments to ensure a proper fit
- Generally a less-expensive option than implant restorations
For many of our patients, full or partial dentures are a great choice. Dr. Adam Jensen can explain your options and help you make the best selection for your health.
Full vs. Partial Dentures
- Full Restorations – Used when all teeth in the upper or lower jaw are missing. In some cases, we may recommend extracting teeth to make room for a full denture.
- Partial Restorations – Used when there are still healthy teeth in the jaw. Partial dentures may be recommended to allow you to keep your natural teeth for as long as possible — as long as they’re healthy.
In addition to full and partial dentures, we offer other tooth replacement options like implants and bridges.
Are dentures better than implants or bridges?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Dr. Jensen will examine your teeth and gums, and explain your options. Together you’ll create the best treatment plan for you.
How much do dentures cost?
It depends on what type of restoration we are making. There are a variety of options, depending on how many teeth we are replacing. As a rough estimate, dentures cost between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars.
Can I get my teeth pulled and get dentures the same day?
Yes. In most cases, you can walk out with your finished restorations the day you get your teeth removed.
How long will it take to get used to my new false teeth?
Everyone is different and they do take some getting used to. We’ll work with you to explain what to expect and how to make the transition as smooth as possible.
