Bad toothache? We can help!
Root canals get a bad reputation. The truth is, they’re one of the most common (and most effective) dental treatments available. We take pride in offering efficient root canal treatments designed with your comfort in mind.
At Chugach Dental, root canal dentist Dr. Adam Jensen offers root canals to help patients:
- Eliminate advanced tooth decay
- Stop painful toothaches
- Prevent the spread of bacterial infections
- Save their teeth and avoid a tooth extraction
Have you been told by another dentist that a tooth needs to be pulled? Get a FREE second opinion at Chugach Dental. Call (907) 868-3000 to schedule.
Your comfort comes first
Our focus is on ensuring that you’re comfortable and relaxed throughout your root canal treatment. Here’s how Dr. Jensen does it:
- Starting with a local anesthetic, Dr. Jensen makes sure you’re fully numb before getting started.
- If you need it, we can prescribe Halcion, a medication that reduces anxiety.
- During the root canal, nitrous oxide can further decrease your anxiety. Unlike other sedation options, nitrous oxide wears off very fast.
Just let us know what you need to feel confident and comfortable. We’ll create a custom treatment plan just for you.
Restoring your tooth
In a way, a root canal is somewhat like treating a “big cavity.” The difference is that in most cases, the tooth will benefit from a crown to increase the longevity of the tooth and reduce risks of tooth fracture after a root canal
Following treatment, your root canal dentist will make a model of your tooth. We work with a local lab that makes the permanent crown. It takes about 2 weeks and we’ll provide you with a temporary crown to wear in the meantime.
Crowns can be made from a variety of different materials. We’ll discuss the advantages of each and help you to make the best decision for your health, appearance, and budget.
We accept all dental insurances!
We are in-network with Premera Blue Cross, Delta Dental, Moda, Aetna, Cigna, United Concordia, MetLife, TRICARE, and more. We’ll file paperwork, explain what’s covered, and help you maximize your insurance benefits.
Unfortunately, we do not accept Medicaid.
