Make a smart decision about your wisdom teeth!
Have you been told by another dentist that you need your wisdom teeth removed RIGHT NOW? Get a free second opinion from Dr. Adam Jensen at Chugach Dental in Anchorage.
It’s true that wisdom teeth may need to be extracted if they’re:
- Causing pain
- Suffering from decay
- Contributing to gum disease
- Crowding other teeth
But if they’re not creating any negative health effects, a more conservative wait-and-see approach might be right for you. Call us at (907) 868-3000 to schedule your appointment and to learn more about your options.
Designed for your comfort
We go above and beyond to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible throughout your wisdom tooth removal.
- We begin by making sure you’re very numb and that you can’t feel a thing before we get started.
- We also offer Halcion, a prescription medication that decreases anxiety and helps you to “forget” the procedure once it’s over. If this is something you’re interested in, let us know.
- During treatment, nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas), a gentle and effective sedative is available to make you feel relaxed and a little tingly. Laughing gas wears off quickly so there’s no “hangover” effect.
We know that every person is different. We’ll work with you to find the right level of sedation for you. Just let us know how you’re feeling and what we can do to help improve your experience.
Wisdom tooth removal for teenagers and adults
Whether you’re the parent of a teenager who’s starting to feel some discomfort due to wisdom teeth or you’re an adult who never had their wisdom teeth out, Dr. Adam Jensen can help.
He’ll start by assessing your wisdom teeth and how they’re affecting your health and quality of life. Together you’ll discuss your options and decide if your wisdom teeth need to be removed. It might be best to take care of it sooner rather than later to avoid complications down the road, which might require an emergency wisdom tooth removal.
Whatever you decide, Dr. Jensen is here to support you and help you make the best decision for your dental health.
